That is how I've laced other dynamo disc hubs, and I haven't had a problem. One wheel built this way completed the Divide trail with no issues. That same wheel is on the Baja Divide trail right now.
I already have three standard 32H Shimano dynamo front wheels in various rim/spoke configurations for touring, gravel grinding and commuting. I also have a 32H SP 15mm thru axle front wheel on my FS MTB.
I want to test a different limit than a Divide/MTB/Touring capable wheel. This is a lightweight road/rando wheel and perhaps gravel grinding.
I used a rim brake rim with a disc hub so it could be used either my rim brake or disc brake road bikes. Now all five of my bikes have a dyno hub wheel option.
