Maybe, maybe not. I am told that it's not unusual for internists in NYC to get paid only 80-90k/year which sounds like a lot but for the cost of living it's probably average. I honestly only make a little bit more than that anyway. Again, I am not crying poverty, but I am nowhere near the 1 percenters.
