I would also like to add descriptions of my commutes. I have two modes.

In New York City, people take dress pretty seriously, so some people are really well dressed.

Sometimes I take the subway, and people are in street clothes. I look at people and say wow. Some of the young people are so good looking, I'm tempted to say it should be illegal. And they don't even know the aura they are putting out.

Other times, I ride my bike. It's a 14 mile trip each way, and nine miles are on the Hudson River Greenway. Many people use it as a commuting route, and many use it for exercise. People are well dressed there, either in work clothes or in workout clothes. They are stylish and form fitting. I get to see a person from the front or the back but not both. A rear view mirror doesn't help me admire people. But I have a nice time seeing what I see.

I live in Greenwich Village which has for a long time been a big place for gay (LGBTQ) people. I'm often mistaken for gay, and men often check me out. Lucky for me I'm oblivious to the signals of flirtation.
