Oh man, how did I not know about this thread?!?
Here is my 1974 Schwinn Paramount P15 that I took from a super sad and broken state, with the help of some BF members (so incredibly key to its success), and painted/restored/built up with first generation Superbe (and a same-same Sugino Super Mighty crankset). Non Superbe bits are Suntour cartridge bearing hubbed wheels, Campy BB (ISO taper) and headset. Rear brake bridge replaced and lowered to allow standard reach side-pull calipers, steerer replaced entirely, right side top tube brake cable housing stops removed and replaced with clamps. John Deere Blitz Black satin black repaint (yes, I primered!).
To my very limited knowledge, I do not know of another this-era (or close) Paramount with Superbe. I've seen a Waterford Paramount with SP and I was drooling. I am also drooling over mine as it rides superbly well! I understand Campagnolo (and have groups on other bikes), and there are a few pieces on here, but for this vintage, I wouldn't trade the Superbe for anything.
To the pictures!
