I dunno, I'm generally not a fan of "epic" rides... Yesterday was more of an obligation (and what's funnier still, I'm obligated to ride that
exact same route in two weeks!) than something I honestly enjoy. I like to do one or two centuries a year, and maybe one bona-fide insane ride -- e.g., the Markleeville Death Ride, or some subset of Vermont's Six Gaps, etc. -- but I'd be perfectly happy if I never rode more than 80 miles and/or never more than ~5,000 at a stretch.
And I'd definitely be thrilled if I never again rode in a torrential downpour!
