The carbon rims are certainly stiffer. They do resonate a bit more so are louder, it seems. The alloy rim is not soft and is an awesome wheelset but the carbon one feels stiffer when standing and climbing. Mine are 35mm deep NOX rims. Alloy rims are DT440s and Am Classic Argents and Pacenti SL23s. Next wheelset will be carbon on at least the disc bike.
