Generally the loudest bells are the rotary 2-dome bells
common in China and now generally available in the US. Best sounding bells are brass bells, with examples mentioned in the thread. Historically the best commercially available bell, combining the two, has been the Lucas King of the Road bell
My own combination of different bells, to arrive at an optimum
sounds like
this. My next choice after 2-dome brass is a Chinese rotary 2-dome bell.
