I have a new setup that can finally fit bigger tires and I am deciding between these two models (43mm being my limit). My riding is 80% off road/ 20% pavement, so the most important qualities to me are cornering ability on descents and traction on uphill climbs. Speed/rolling resistance being a tertiary concern. Terrain is mostly west coast (Socal) mountain trails if that gives you some perspective.

I hate the feeling of uneasiness when corning on descents and when the back tires spin out on steep loose dirt climbs from no traction. The Ravager (40mm) has more aggressive tread near the walls, but Rock n' Road (medium tread) has more volume, which would be more suited to my purpose (cornering on descents, traction, speed)?

If the Ravager, it has a 120 or 60 tpi version with EXO or silkscreen, which to select?
