Super Record road cups were also thick, like Nuovo Record, but ground for 3/16" balls.

All Pista cups were thin, as were the Record and Gran Sport cups.

You should be able to distinguish thick from thin cups visually. The thick cups have rifling in the hole for the spindle. The thin cups are smooth:
