Why isn't anyone offering a real answer to the OP's question (except for the last post before this one)? Knowing, as you do, that I am no fan of the Venturi, you shouldn't be surprised that I think there are no relevant answers because there is no elegant way to solve the problem of the Venturi's poor fit for most people. Yes, as already pointed out, a short, tall, riser stem with a bunch of spacers will do the trick, but that simply isn't elegant or desirable for most folks. Hence, no clamor to offer that approach by the vast majority of BFers.
I want to make sure you understand I appreciate your fondness for the Venturi, and I wish you much joy from owning and riding it. Also I recognize there are others like you. Just not all that many.

The reason there has been no specific reply is because there are few 5'6" American males, and fewer yet who ride the rare Venturi.
