I can't say why, but it does offend my obsessive/compulsive sensibilities. My Trek was purchased in a similar state of affairs: Tiagra RD, 2203 FD, Sora brifters, no-name hubs... drove me gnutz.

On the other hand, I've really enjoyed upgrading my components to a consistent group.
