Not sure when something becomes vintage. Me, I kinda like integrated shifters, and my 9spd cassettes. My main two road bikes are pretty new, 2007-ish 3x9 setups. I don't feel obligated to buy the latest and greatest, but the "modern" stuff seems to get me by.

I do like riding my 3 speed though, spring/fall and occasionally on hot summer days.
