OK. Here's my dog story.

I'm out for a ride with my brother on a quiet country road (gravel). Out of nowhere comes a dog, running at me (perpendicular to the road, not from behind or infront me). I think "OK I'll just keep going...he's not stupid enough to hit me." WELL... this dog runs head first into my front wheel sending me head over heals into the gravel (at a pretty good speed too). OUCH. I distincly remember tucking my head and rolling onto my shoulders as i hit the ground. Ended up with minor scratches on my arms, feet (I was wearing sandals), elbow, back and hip. Still have the scars to show for it too!

My question: How stupid does a dog have to be to run head first into a spinning bike wheel?? Geez..

The owner whistles to the dog (so obviously he witnessed the whole ordeal.), the dog runs back to house, and the owner doesn't even come out to see if i'm ok. My brother straightens my wheel out so I can at least bike home, while I walk it off for a bit. Man what a painful experience! Now I hate biking by dogs no matter what... URRRRR
