Here's my '85 Tempo that I posted in another thread. I have ridden approximately 100 miles on it.



Originally I was going to build it up with parts from that era, but I realized that I had just as many parts for a resto-mod. The determining factor was that I had a Mavic Open Sport Wheelset with Shimano 105 (5700 series) hubs. It's running a 2x10 50-34/11-32 drivetrain. I kept the Shimano 600 friction shifters that came with the frame since it came with those proprietary Shimano shifter bosses. Actually friction shifting with the close spacing isn't that bad.







So far I am pretty happy with it. I plan on replacing the seat which is fine for shorter rides but not longer ones.
