So let's start one. I bought CF because huffing a 40 lb Schwinn onto a roof rack is well nigh impossible for me at age 62. And I got it on clearance making it the same price as the next step down aluminum. And it's cool.
The no kickstand on road bikes thing has been around for decades. But with everything being able to be made of carbon fiber now, why not invent a new kickstand as well? The market has proven that we are willing to pay $70 for an ENVE CF bottle cage, or $50 for a Spurcycle bell, so money isn't an object.
I need to bring this up at our next Backyard Inventors Club meeting.
