Probably insanity, but I am considering trying this Everesting thing sometime in the near future. There are no long hills near me (Chester County, PA) but there is a candidate, Shed Rd, which is a fairly steady 4.5% for 2 miles. I believe I would have to do 61 repeats, which I am guessing would take me roughly 14 hours. Would want a few friends to join me as I suspect boredom may be a major barrier.

Comments?
You're not giving yourself enough recovery time.

Spending 14-18 hours on the bike isn't something you just go "do" one day. Many 3-400 mile weeks would help.

Of course, I've never done it, but time on the bike I do know, and it just doesn't happen overnight.
