you want to celebrate the birth of our lord? well thats alright with me but don't do it by buying a bunch of **** for other people that they don't really need or want, thats what birthdays are for.
it's interesting that early christians set the celebration of the birth of Christ to coincide with a pagan winter celebration to facilitate conversion, and now it's more of a pagan holiday than ever.
for what it's worth, receiving gifts has always made me uncomfortable, but i really like buying gifts for my immediate family.
