i guess Everest summiters don't really Everest.
The real ones start in Death Valley, climb up to sea level, then build a log raft and float across to Asia where they first free dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench before continuing on to India where they hike to to the base of the mountain in Nepal and make the climb. And, it is all done without supplemental oxygen, and all without stopping for rest.
Real cyclists, of course, skip Everest, and do a virtual Olympus Mons (22 km (72,000 ft)). If only gravity was 1/3 as strong on Earth
But, the true virtual cyclists will load their bikes down with 2 1/2 times their weight to simulate Jupiter's gravity.
