Bikes: TREK FX3

Well the deed is done. The cats out of the bag. Water is under the bridge. What's done is done. And the winner is, drum roll please. TREK FX3. Day started out rotten with rain. Hit both shops rather apprehensive. Both shops had the recommended bikes ready to roll. The Norco VFR5 was a nice bike for sure and I thought the disc brakes would have been the deal breaker. The disc brakes were mechanical, not hydrolic, and seemed kind of flimsy to me. However, neither the 20 or 22 inch versions felt "right". Each had their quirks. I headed to the second shop and hopped aboard the FX3 after initial bike look over, sales pep talk, and the decision was immediate. Everything about the bike felt right. Sitting position, grips, handle bars, brakes, overall how it rode, and even the stock seat was pretty comfy. Asked about post sales support and I got 1 year unlimited free tune ups, 90 day 10% off any accessories I wish to buy, they threw in a kick stand and water bottle holder, and took it down to the on duty mechanic for one last tune up (10-15 minutes) before I brought it home. Plus he knocked another $20 off the price tag. BANG, I'm very happy. Still a little surprised on the outcome, but as stated in above posts getting aboard and riding is best medicine. I can't wait for it to stop raining to go for a real spin. THANK YOU ALL for your help, advice, and support. I very much appreciate it. Signed the newest member to the TREK club
