It's not that uncommon that the brake bosses mushroom a bit if the brakes have been over-torqued. If your frame has replaceable brake bosses, replacing is the easiest course. Or if you trust your skills, simply go at it with a file until it fits.
Thank you for your reply. Before I go down the road of trying to replace, is there any possibility that I bought the wrong size brakes? I don't want to haul it to my LBS or take a file to it unless i'm sure this isn't me being dumb and buying the wrong brake or something.
