You have a good memory! We were last in Parksville three years ago. My truck got broken into in Nanaimo that year. We considered coming back this year, but we decided to try out Salt Spring Island instead. An acquaintance told me about an 85K cycling loop that he recommended I try (details here: Saltspring Island under "Longer Route").
