In terms of availability and service locally....

I looked at the Performer brand before ultimately purchasing some Catrikes a few years back. The biggest issue I found was actually getting one. There had (at that time) been a guy/group selling them but had some delivery issues around the same time. At that particular moment the only venue I found was to order it direct from Hong Kong (iirc) and good luck with issues on that.

I found that within 100 miles of my location I had two shops that dealt with 'bents on a regular basis, and BOTH of them did Catrike. After attempting to take my trikes into "regular" bike shops a few times for minor issues I found the advantage in taking them to a trike specific servicing shop. Parts were almost always mail order.

I guess the point of my ramble is to be sure that you have a shop that will service nearby and a source of parts, or be willing and able to do it yourself.
