It won't be brand new carbon Colnago. Rather a steel frame 21 speed mountain bike or hybrid. The older the better in fact. For 150 Euro it is well possible to buy a used one and have it ride like new. With new chain, cassette, cables etc. I fix bikes and are very picky to how good a bike should be. The costumer can decide what we buy and what to change. I might even give the bike a custom paint job. I'm gonna take it apart anyhow for a full overhaul. Personally I like and old mountain bike with city bars. One that was of high quality but is now on sale for 30 Euro or something. But if someone wants a more racy bike that is possible too. Not my recommendation though. Few world travelers use them.

That leaves 150 for camping gear. Depending on the time of year you don't need a sleeping bag capable of Arctic temperatures. Tents same thing. Doesn't have to be a Hilderberg for polar expeditions. Of course it won't be rubbish! We're just trying to get bargains. Partly new and partly used. After a while I will have plenty in stock to choose from. The idea is most will be returned to me. That will be my profit.

Suppose someone from the USA takes a plane. He or she then needs to buy some items themselves. First they don't know where to look. Then they don't have the time to search for the best deals. While I can look out for a suited bike and camping gear well in advance. And each time the costumer will buy it themselves. The difference is we will have it send to me so I can add it to the kit. Much I will already have. I have two light tents I don't use. Self inflating mattresses. Cooking gear. Or how about maps and routes? Or a sim for your internet?

At my place the last adjustments can be made to the bike and gear. The next morning you're ready to roll.

I have experience. I know what to get for a cycle tour through Europe. It should be light, complete, comfortable, but also affordable. A no-worry about kit. In case your mattress or sleeping bag isn't quite to your liking, you replace it somewhere along the way. Imagine you bring a much to hot sleeping bag you will have to carry it the whole trip. People may bring some of the kit with them. But the idea is you can leave everything anywhere you want if you return home. For example you fly to Amsterdam and end up in Rome where you hop on a last minute flight. Of course I hope you will bring everything back to me so I can give you back half of your money and add all the stuff to my collection.

Of course most people want to bring their own bike and gear. I have no experience in how things work at airports. What you pay and what time you spend on get it all on the plane to your destination. Perhaps it is easier then I think it is.
