First thing I have always done to my my bikes is remove the chain guard, fenders and reflector. I can't stand the unnecessary dead weight, the rattles, the debris that gets caught, the added hassle of stuff in your way during maintenance and repair. I like raw stripped down bikes. Minimalist to the max. Been doing that for 50+ years and I don't wear skinny jeans.
