The long reach makes sense on a bar like this though. It is an aero bar after all. They make a deeper drop version, the Aerotundo.
Depends on if your fit is such that you benefit/like having the hoods/brakes/shifting controls an extra 3CM away (AKA 1.2+"). I have a set (of look-a-likes*) on my roadie, and to make it work, I needed a shorter stem. Which the shorter stem makes the tops/hooks closer as well.
*Being such a strange geometry, I wasn't going to spend $300USD on a bar that might not have worked....and trust-me that bar was tested all winter long on the stationary trainer with out of the saddle sprints before it saw any actual road riding.
