I'm quite flexible in how and where I ride, but in most cases believe that intersections are one place it is best to be in the lane. That's why some cities have bike boxes at intersections.
The top 2 pics clearly look like left hooks from left turning trucks, probably in Australia where they drive on the left. The last pic has no context.
But leave it to coominya to claim he is the smart one for not taking the lane and then showing pics of left hooks of cyclist not taking the lane.
