Yes. I'm doing dead lifts to strengthen my lower back. I'm doing pushups and overhead presses to strengthen my shoulders. Right now, my shoulders hurt right next to my spine. Riding makes me feel like I've been doing pushups all day, i.e. tired. My legs are in great shape and never hurt me.
