Anyone have any experience with both? If so, do you prefer one over the other? And how would you compare side visibility between the two? Supposedly the Quad has much greater side visibly than the 400R (due to adding extra LEDs to the side, I believe?), but I've not seen one in person, so I can't say for sure.

Spoke with a rep earlier today and he urged me to pick up the Quad and told me that the only significant difference between the two is the battery pack that comes with the 400R, which he said is only really needed by tourists. Though I do ride for more than 6 hours at a time, so I think, for me, it would come in handy. But I wanted to get some opinions before I made my decision, so any thoughts (random or otherwise) that you guys could share would be great.

By the way, does anyone know if (or when) the Designshine DS-500 will be restocked? If not, do you guys know of any other place to get them?
