My Trek is fast. I really had no idea how fast I could go. I made the right decision getting a bike that's configured for the road. The Trek is super light compared to any bike I've ever owned.
I did try out the Domane SLR 6...$4K, ridiculously light, and also very very fast. Just didn't want to spend $4K right now.
Yes you can't beat a road bike for riding on the road! And if I ever buy a bike for $4k it better have a motor on it.
