Started at 12:45AM with clouds galore but had about 10 minutes of clearing around 2:30 so out went the lights. Clouds resumed and then thickened and rain came for the last 1 hour plus. Managed 76 miles for first segment at 16.3mph average. Got back home did a total bike cleaning, re-oiled the chain, showered, clean kit, grabbed a quick bite and out to join the LBS group. Only hung with them for about 7 miles since they were going 22 to 26+mph and I was on my upright bar 28lb Paramount with at least 30 more miles to ride and didn't want to redline my heart and body. Totaled 45 miles for the second segment with a 17.7mph average and made it home JUST as another batch of rain came through. 121 miles for the day, kept the speeds down and really felt good yesterday.

This Saturday I'm planning on another Midnight Madness Ride and hoping for better weather so I can get 140/150 miles in. Working towards a 200 miler on July 8th two days before my 67th B-day.
