TrainerRoad FTP test (two 8 min efforts). I have done 3 of these tests, and have seen an increase in LTHR. All three tests were performed indoors.
First test (FTP 265, LTHR 155)
Second test (FTP 294, LTHR 165)
Third test (FTP 312, LTHR 165)
For what it's worth, I have been doing 20m TT efforts out on the road and my HR for those efforts aligns with my 8 min all out FTP efforts. However, my heart rate when riding outside is consistently higher at the same effort than when indoors.
How long can I hold 185? I don't know. The last hard ride was on Saturday in which I did 100 miles in 6 hrs and 2 minutes with an avg heart rate of 175, and peak of 211.
I'm starting to question the accuracy of my HR monitor because I feel like my zones might be a little too low, and my LTHR should be higher.
