I took a late afternoon ride too, but headed in exactly the opposite direction. "Twas delightful. I saw nobody watering the shrubbery, nor did I do so myself. 37 miles, but heading north, I had more land to work with.
I see from your photo that the gates have been removed, but we are still doing what we do best here on LI; signs with the words NO and PROHIBITED.
