I have a CAAD-9, an older carbon Trek, an alu Nashbar road frame, and a steel tandem. The CAAD-9 is so bad compared to all those other bikes that I almost never ride it anymore. Rides like a beer can, feels so dangerous on windy descents that I've had to stop and calm my nerves. It's stiff alright, but so are my other bikes. I can't imagine why people like them. Never experienced a really good bike?
Certainly hasn't been my experience. I've ridden this bike on Centuries, in crits, up climbs and down screaming descents. Never had issues like what you describe. My CAAD9 has been my weapon-of-choice for all of these things.
