Reppans, I was thinking the same thing, some sort of disposable packing. I guess it would have to be something that the airline can open up though if they wanted to examine the contents. I could see just using bubble wrap and padding/clothes and contain it all in heavy corrugated cardboard, as long as it meets size/wt restrictions. Then toss it once you arrive at your destination. For that matter even find a large enough suitcase second hand and toss that too once you land.

I think I'm going to go with the dumpster-dive approach - grab some discarded cardboard boxes, newspaper, and roll of packing tape and make a box for each flight leg (throw the remains in recycle at destination).
