Trek 8000 1998? Poor thing......it was covered in cobwebs, my pretty Serfas seat is trashed from storage in a tool shed and, Sunday, when I tried to take off on it for a quick spin the chain snapped! Hubby is going to clean it up for me and maybe I can sell it to someone. I hit a few bike shops the next day and bought a Raleigh Venture 3 "old lady bike" with pass thru. Fatter tires, 21-speed. I will be more comfortable on this bike. One reason I no longer rode my Trek was that age has asked me to be more cautious riding. Trying to swing my leg over the higher bar has become daunting to me. Damn time Passage! Casual rider here...btw.
