It partly inflation, of course, but it's also because pay campsites in the US are catering to the RV market. They have to invest heavily in the expensive infrastructure to support them. Even car-campers are demanding more expensive facilities. Electricity, flush toilets, fancy bath-houses, must be located within a very close distance to each campsite. Many have cable & internet. It's sad that the market requires this but it seems they do. This new cost burden is passed to all, even those who use little.
