depending on the temperature. meaning, I was surprised, late in the season, to ride on an icy dirt rd with watery mud mixed in here & the there. it was just warm enough for the ice pack to have softened enough to become slightly granular rather than the usual hard & slick. it actually offered some grip. quite sticky in fact. 10 degrees colder & I'd have been in trouble (w/o studs)

these are not the same tires you have, but are similar
