I'm not familiar enough with SRAM derailleur capacities, but I think you need to explain what not enough means. If you are just struggling here and there that is one thing, but if you can't ride most hills that is totally different.

I only ask because if it is the latter, a 27 to 30 may not help enough. And then you are talking about greater changes. The other side of the coin is if you will improve enough to tackle those hills without much lower gearing. The goal is to keep you on the bike and enjoying the sport over the long haul.
