I'm the King of the Freds at Stone Mountain GA. During my rides looking out at 100 road bikes I only see maybe one or two Classic or Vintage steel bikes. (My favorite ride lately is a 89 Centurion LeMans with brifters that weighs in at a portly 26 lbs or so). It's a total race drama doing loops around the park. Everybody is trying to outgun each other. Since I'm so old & fat I can get up a great head of steam going downhill. That really freaks out the 20 to 30 year olds on their carbon steeds. But, I can rarely pass anybody going uphill except the other Freds & Wilmas. If you're ever in the Atlanta area I highly recommend doing a couple laps around the Mountain. The weather is mild enough that you can ride year round there. And, no worries about getting hit by cars.
