Thanks for the replies. The deore fd is a bottom pull. I've looked on ebay and I can get a top pull on there. I shouldnt need to do a cable change. I also wanted to swap out the crankset. Much nicer than the prowheel that came with the bike. I looked at the rd and might be ok there, if not thanks for the heads up. Some might think that this is a lot of work for a Walmart bike but, I'm looking at the experience I'm gaining from it. When I'm done I hope to have one kick a** Walmart bike.
