"Back when" almost everyone in my cycling club converted to FG for winter base miles training, we put in a lot of hours in a tight paceline for season after season w/o any drama.

Key points:
FG technique was well honed for road riding w/ machines properly fitted & set-up.
A tight knit disciplined group very well used to paceline work as a team year 'round.
Base miles pace and etiquette on ~70GI are conversational and mutually supportive.

Lacking any of the above and not being Red Hook curious: Pass.
