Last night about half way home the sky opened up. Luckily there was an empty parking lot with a salt storage shed/shelter, which was empty at the time, under which I could take temporary shelter. The rain didn't scare me; it was the lightning, and from the look of it it was right above me. That's scary.

The shed had stone sides and a metal roof. I don't know if that was wise of me, but I did squat down into a ball just in case.
