I just put DMR hinged clamps on my Specialized Sequoia and Motobecane Grand Touring. They're rock solid, no movement at all and they hold the cage pretty close to the frame.

They come in different sizes, including 28.6. You'll probably have to go British to get them though. Wiggle, Merlin Cycles and Chain Reaction carry them. I went with Merlin, since they were cheapest at the time. $18.86 shipped for four.








I previously had a Zefal Gizmo on the Motobecane, but it had a habit of moving around. Never could get it tight enough. I also didn't really like the way it looked and the distance the cage stood from the frame.
