moving on....
Hi again all,
I have been collecting and working on classic bikes for about 20 years. It started around when I got married. Though I'm not a stranger to classic steel bikes before that, though I couldn't afford a nice bike while in high school, but made the most of my Peugeot P-8. I was a regular here for about 10 years getting lots of information along the way in building and restoring the classics. About 2 years ago, I got bit by the mountain biking bug and essentially stopped collecting and working on bikes. Since then I have sold all my "newer" road bikes since 90% of my riding are at the parks. Also most of my classics have been either sold or donated to friends. It took a while, but I've narrowed down a few classic/older bikes which will remain with me.
- Bruce Gordon Rockn'Road (my expedition bike which will eventually do an epic month long ride)
- Ibis Spanky (only standard road bike I'm keeping as the geo fits great)
- Makino Keirin (don't really need it, but I want to keep one Japanese frame which was my favorite sector)
I'll still have few other mountain, cross and gravel bikes so it's not like my stable will be bare. But need to get it to under 10 as we will be moving in a few years. Also have a bunch of parts which I'll be listing shortly. Mostly mid 80s to early 90s. PM me if you are looking for something and glad to be chatting with many of you again.
