I had to update about 130 pictures but it went fairly quickly once I got into the swing of it. One advantage is that the resolution has increased somewhat.

I'm not too annoyed with Photobucket, they've hosted my images for free over several years and it's probably not cost-effective for them to continue in this way. Still, it would have been better to charge users a reasonable amount based on a monthly bandwidth quota.
realsteel, I believe that a good bit of the anger towards Photobucket is in how they have gone about snatching images off of forums and such. Yes, the high cost is over the top also, but judging by the posts here much ire is the fact the images that were important to the historical content here were just silently taken down by PB, and this loss is going to be felt here for many years.

I understand what you are saying about your pictures being there for free over several years, but it looks like many others are having problems accessing their accounts. You are fortunate to have retrieved your images, and its a big plus for all of us that we will still be able to see them here.

And its not just BF, think about VeloBase and Classic Rendezvous, and the numerous other sites as well. This is a really big hole in everyone's cycling on-line life. I am just sick about all the losses that we are going to have to deal with. I'm happy now that I am not a big picture guy. This is going to get worse long before it gets better.
