As a newbie, was not aware of SRAM... and when comparing the two, did not find that much of a difference and wanted to validate with the OP if he decided on it based on looks or something else.

And yes, my first build was using Shimano Ultegra... learned a lot from the build. For the second one, researching some more before pulling the trigger on components. Is that hard to believe?
