You will have 2 miles on the closed section where the road has been taken over by tall grass and it feels like single track, but take your time and enjoy the section.
Also ignore the one way road sign, if you meet any cars just pull over to let them by.
I recommend taking Klamath Beach rd all the way to the mouth of the Klamath where it turns in the Klamath Coastal dr (one way). When you get to the prison road don't go up to the prison, stay right and ride the closed road.
Crap. We should have investigated further. We saw the tall grass. We may have seen a small path going through the grass as you described but decided not to investigate, assuming it would end soon and lead nowhere.
Thanks for clarifying that made a second climb for nothing and missed out on a really good ride.
