Sorry, didn't mean to imply anything but just using your words as an example. The OP never said anything about it being a Waterford so not sure what you meant with your statement since he never questioned that?

As he researches the PDG bikes he will see lots and lots of disparaging remarks against the PDG series bikes which really don't fit how well they are made and perform. Lots of folks give a "mystical" connotation to a Waterford built Paramount even though it's really nothing more than a well made quality bike on par with many others. Just like the PDG series.

To be honest I like my Waterford built one better because it's not as stiff. But I still bet the PDG is actually the faster bike in most situations and I guess that's what most people would judge a race bike by.

Since you've had so many how do you see the differences, if any? I can only compare the two I have from around the same era....
