If you've read many studies you'd know there is no consensus. The study I read stood out because it foundmuscle repair benefit for cycling but not other forms of endurance exercise.
So sometimes I drink a protein shake after a ride. It's yummy. It may not be beneficial, but it does no harm. And it's yummy.
