On tandems (very heavy load for two tire bicycle) disc brakes are revealed as the frauds they are. In this industry as bike mechanics we know the paradigm changes because they need to sell new bikes. That doesn't make them good in terms of performance or weight.

Totally agree. After trying mechanical and hydraulic discs, i am going back to mechanical rims brakes.
